The perfect chip emulator for use on OBD1 socketed ECU's when tuning with with HTS, Crome, etc. Allows on the fly program/rom file upload to your ECU. Excellent for real-time updating and tuning. Updating/loading your tune to the ECU in real-time drastically speeds up the tuning process. No need to shut off the car, remove the chip, program, restart, etc. with every programming change. The cable plugs into place where your standard 28-pin chip would go on your socketed ECU, and uses the included USB cable to plug into your laptop for program uploading to the Emulator via the Crome software. It is extremely small and compact, durable, versatile, and powerful. Full 921.6k speed, from 4k (2732A) up to 512k (4mbit 29F040) and everything in between (27C128, 27C256, 27C512). The new form factor is incredibly small and compact.
Includes:
- Assembled and Fully Tested in the USA.
- BoostedNW Emulator unit
- 28 pin emulation cable (connects the BoostedNW Emulator unit to the 28 pin socket in your ECU)
- USB cable
- One 28-pin machined socket - protects the end of the emulation cable, and allows fitment into many different 28-pin socket types.
Important:
When using the BoostedNW Emulator with an ECU that is socketed with a ZIF socket (such as our chipped ECU's), the end of the emulation cable gets in the way of the lever on the ZIF socket. For use with a ZIF socket, we recommend stacking one additional 28-pin machined socket onto the end of the 28-pin emulation cable for clearance.
Can I leave the BoostedNW Emulator plugged into the ECU after tuning?
Yes, the BoostedNW Emulator can be left in the ECU for long-term use. However, if the emulation cable get pulled or tugged loose, the vehicle will no longer run so it is best to only use while tuning. When done tuning, it is recommended to burn/program the final tune onto an SST chip using the BoostedNW Burner.
Can I use the BoostedNW Emulator with any Crome .bin file?
Yes, however you must enable real-time programming within the .bin file for the BoostedNW Emulator to work. This can be done within the Crome software by going to "Plugins" > "Enhancements" > "Quick Datalogger + RTP"
