STA460C Component for Injector Driver
Having issues with an injector that isn’t firing or one that’s stuck open? In most cases—about 90% of the time—the culprit is a failed injector driver. Each ECU contains two injector drivers, and each driver manages a pair of injectors, allowing the ECU to control all four.
We can quickly detect faulty injector outputs using our bench test equipment. If you don’t have access to one of our ECU testers, the next best option is to perform an on-vehicle test using a noid light plugged into the injector connector. If you see no pulse or a constant light, it’s a strong sign the driver has failed. Be sure to check all four outputs—typically, only one injector output is affected when a driver goes bad.
When installing the replacement part, ensure the text faces the ECU's front label and place it in the QM2 or QM3 location. Remember, each driver controls two injectors, and this listing includes one driver only—so one order replaces half of the ECU’s injector control.
Please note: ECU diagnostics are complex, and many components within the circuit can contribute to issues. No part, advice, or repair can be guaranteed. If you’d like us to evaluate and attempt a repair on your ECU, please CLICK HERE
